David's dream was to see F C. Barcelona play a match in Camp Nou.

Our flight took off from Budapest on Tuesday early morning, so I met David and his father at the airport around 4.30 am. Since they had never flown before, they were very excited and happy to finally travel by plane.
We landed in Barcelona in beautiful sunny weather. We took the metro to our hotel, conveniently located just a corner away from Camp Nou.

Next day we decided to visit the futball museum and the stadium. We marveled at the different trophies, such as the golden soccer balls of Messi, and the different pictures and videos.
It was very heart warming to see the statue of our fellow Hungarian, László Kubala. Naturally we took several photos in front of it.

Camp Nou is the largest futball stadium in Europe. We had a chance to see the change rooms, the press room, and even the chapel on our stadium tour.
Of course we spent plenty of time in the gift shop at the end.

In the afternoon we did some sightseeing, then walked down to the beach to check out the sea, which was another first for David and his father.
The following day we visited awe-inspiring La Sagrada Familia. We had never seen anything like that before. It cannot be described with words, everybody must visit it once if possible. There is nothing like that in the whole world. The exhibition about the life of Gaudi, his work, and the construction of the church was very interesting and informative. It made us appreciate this marvelous piece of art and architecture even more.

Next day was the big day, the day of the Game, Barca against Osasuna. Because it only started at 19.30, we had the whole day for more sightseeing. We had great seats, quite close to the field, and luckily covered, as we found out when 20 minutes into the game it started raining. Before the start of the game a huge banner was lowered on the opposite side thanking Messi for the 500 goals that he had scored in the Champions League games. Then the eagerly awaited match started.
The first goal was scored within 20 minutes by Messi of course. Then the goals started coming in quick succession, with a 7 to 1 end result.
The game was spectacular all along. After the fifth goal we had a discussion about whether there would be one or two more. Well, it was two.
After the game we had a great dinner, then retired.

The following day we visited another landmark of Barcelona, the Güell Park.
Unfortunately it was a rainy day, but the park was still a fantastic experience. Sadly next day it was time to go home. After another early start, since our flight was delayed, we had plenty of time to browse in the shops at the airport.

After a pleasant flight David returned home as a happy, cheerful young man, full of exciting experiences.

Many thanks in the name of David to the British International School, the Personal Banker Network of Fundamenta-Lakáskassza Zrt. and our private supporters!
