Gábor's wish was to have his very own playground, which he and his sibling have been enjoying with great excitement from the very first moment. They use the swing, slide, and climbing equipment together every day, and the playground has quickly become their favorite place to spend time together.

We wish Gábor and his sibling many more happy moments together on their new playground!

Róza is a big fan of the sea and animals, so it was no surprise that her wish was connected to these two great passions. Her greatest desire was to take a dip in the sea, enjoy the sunshine, and see as many animals as possible in their natural environment.

Many of our Magic Lamp children are attracted to the sea; Róza was able to travel to the wonderful island of Skopelos as part of a small group.

After a long period of planning, the day of departure finally arrived. Early Saturday morning we flew to Skiathos, where we were greeted by pouring rain upon arrival, but this did not dampen our spirits for a single moment. From here, we continued our journey to the island of Skopelos by ferry. Even the huge ferry, carrying more than 1,200 passengers, was a special experience for all of us – Róza watched in fascination as the cars and trucks lined up inside the ferry's belly with incredible speed.

Reaching the island, the sun soon came out, so we were able to take a pleasant walk already on the first afternoon. The next day, everything was truly set for a perfect summer day: we woke up to brilliant sunshine and, guided by our local helper, Ildikó, we could explore the most beautiful parts of Skopelos. Following this, the long-awaited moment finally arrived – Róza could take a dip in the crystal-clear sea.

If we were to ask her which experience she liked the most, she would probably answer: all of them. We received a special welcome right upon arrival, when a flock of goats walked across in front of us. During the trip, we could also observe numerous fish species, birds, and lizards, which was a real adventure for Róza. The natural beauty of the island, the lush vegetation, and the heartfelt hospitality of the locals made the days spent there an unforgettable experience.

The evenings were all about exploring Greek cuisine. Róza especially liked the fresh fish dishes, but the charcoal-grilled cheese also quickly became one of her favorites.

Before our journey home, we also had the opportunity to get to know the island of Skiathos, where Viki and Olivér showed us the most interesting sights. To conclude the trip, we could also spend a little time in Athens, so a walk around the Acropolis was included in the program as well. It was a special feeling to walk on the stones where defining figures of history turned up thousands of years ago.

We believe that this trip will be an everlasting experience for Róza; we wish her a speedy recovery and hope she can return here soon with her family.

Hermina is a true movie fan, and her favorite film is the globally known and loved Mamma Mia. When she shared her wish with us, there was no question that we would do everything we could to make it come true: she wanted to visit the iconic filming locations of the movie.

The trip was preceded by long organization and thorough research. We browsed travel options, re-watched the movie, and tried to put the program together in a way that Hermina could see as many locations as possible. Since the scenes of the film were shot across multiple Greek islands, our goal was to discover the most beautiful places of both Skiathos and Skopelos.

Finally, the day of departure arrived. Early Saturday morning we flew to Skiathos, where we were greeted by pouring rain upon arrival, but this did not dampen our spirits for a single moment. From here, we continued our journey to the island of Skopelos by ferry. Even the huge, city-sized ferry carrying more than 1,200 passengers was a special experience for all of us.

Upon reaching the island, the sun soon came out, so we were able to take a pleasant walk already on the first afternoon. The real magic, however, awaited us the next day: guided by our local helper, Ildikó, we could visit the most famous filming locations of the movie and learn a few behind-the-scenes secrets about the shooting. It would be difficult to choose which one was the most beautiful. Perhaps the famous chapel, to which more than 220 steep steps led upwards – and just as many downwards. It wasn't easy, but together we managed to overcome every obstacle.

The stunning natural beauty of Skopelos, the lush vegetation, the streets filled with flowers, and the heartfelt hospitality of the locals made the days spent there an unforgettable experience. We felt as if we had been welcomed as old acquaintances, almost like family members.

Our journey then continued on Skiathos, where Viki and Olivér showed us the most interesting sights of the island. On both islands, we partook in a real culinary adventure: we could taste countless delicious Greek specialties together.

Throughout the trip, Hermina quoted the movie scenes by heart, and of course, the songs couldn't be missed either – we tried singing the most famous hits of Mamma Mia together, which brought lots of smiles and joyful moments to all of us.
On the way home, we still had a few hours in Athens, so a walk around the Acropolis became a worthy conclusion to this special journey.

We trust that this adventure in Greece will remain an everlasting memory for Hermina and that she will be able to draw strength from it for a long time. We wish her from the bottom of our hearts to fully recover as soon as possible and to be able to return to these wonderful places once again with her family.

Marci’s wish was to go hiking in Italy, and he also wanted to fly, so we chose Sicily as our destination, where we could hike on Mount Etna.

Our flight departed on Friday evening, but Marci did not seem tired at all during the journey. He observed everything with great interest. He was very surprised and happy when, at the end of the flight, he even had the chance to sit in the cockpit.

We arrived at the hotel relatively late, but before going to bed, we still made time for a pizza dinner, especially so that we would have enough energy for hiking the next day.

In the morning, Giuseppe, the tour guide from Etna Tribe, picked us up at the hotel and accompanied us throughout the entire day. We began our trip at the Alcantara River, where even so early in the day, it felt wonderful to step into the cold river water. After tasting some local delicacies, the long-awaited visit to Mount Etna followed.

Marci set off with great enthusiasm across the lunar-like landscape, running up and down the slopes with endless energy. We also entered a cave, equipped with helmets and lamps, where our tour guide shared even more interesting facts with us. It was an exciting and fascinating day, and we are truly grateful to the Etna Tribe team.

The next day, we visited nearby Taormina, where, after a short historical sightseeing tour, there was also time to go to the beach, much to Marci’s delight. Before our return journey on Monday, we explored Catania, marveling at the lively atmosphere of its lava-stone streets.

It was a truly eventful and wonderful weekend.

Dávid’s great dream was to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa in real life, after having looked at so many photos of it. This is how the little boy described the fantastic weekend when his dream came true:

“I had a really great time during the whole trip. It was not just one of my wishes that came true during this long weekend, but around five.

1. My first big dream was to be able to travel abroad.
2. I also really wanted to try flying. I really enjoyed flying, and I even forgot about my fear of heights.
3. This was also my first time staying in a hotel, which I really liked. Until now, I had only slept at relatives’ or friends’ homes.
4. The Leaning Tower of Pisa. I really liked seeing it in real life.
5. I also wished that one day I could see the sea. I did not only see it, I even swam in it.

And not only did I swim in it, but Péter also showed me that I do not have to be afraid of the water.
I would especially like to thank him for that.

When I had the chance to make a wish, it was very difficult to decide what to choose. But now I am very happy that this was the one that came true. I really liked it.

At the end, I even received a MESSI jersey as a gift. Thank you very much for everything.

The Magic Lamp Foundation has fulfilled yet another child’s wish.

The late afternoon sunlight was already stretching long across the street when I arrived at Csenge’s home. The purpose of my visit was to make a long-cherished dream come true: a television of her own. For this little girl, this seemingly simple object represented freedom—a personal kingdom where, even on the difficult days of her illness, she could escape into the magical, carefree world of her favorite cartoons whenever she wished.

As I entered the room, I was greeted by an exceptionally pure-hearted, modest, and soft-spoken little girl. Although excitement sparkled in her eyes, she approached the large box almost on tiptoe and thanked us for the gift in a voice barely above a whisper.

Her parents, deeply moved, carefully began unwrapping the package while Csenge’s face grew brighter with happiness by the minute. We took a few photographs to preserve this unforgettable moment, although the true memory was etched into all of our hearts.

From now on, this small television will be far more than just an electronic device. Along the path of recovery, it will provide rest, distraction, and moments of carefree enjoyment. When it was finally time to say goodbye, a cool drizzle had already begun to fall outside. Despite the cold raindrops, Csenge insisted on accompanying me all the way to the gate, as if her presence itself was her way of expressing gratitude for the joy she had received.

As I looked back at her, her face was radiant despite the gloomy weather—and at that moment I truly felt what an indescribable miracle it is to bring a genuine, heartfelt smile back to the face of a sick child.

We would like to thank the Budapest Marriott Hotel for its support, as well as our private supporters. Together, we were once again able to make the wish of a seriously ill child come true.

Virág’s wish was for an iPad, which will support her rehabilitation. The pink tablet perfectly matches Virág’s cheerful smile and kind personality.

Today I met Fanni and her family in Sóstó at Hotel Pangea. The journey was long and tiring for them, but the shared experience will make it all worthwhile. This is their first time visiting Nyíregyháza.

Both Fanni and her sibling are very fond of animals. They also have a dog at home named Bella, whom they adopted from a shelter. They are especially excited to see the polar bears splashing around in the water. They would also like to visit the beach and take a long walk around the lake. I recommended a restaurant on the lakeside that has a wonderful atmosphere and serves delicious pizza.

It was a pleasure to meet them!

Today, together with Flóra, we had the privilege of fulfilling a truly heartwarming wish by presenting Bella with the golden retriever puppy she had been dreaming of for a long time.

Bella arrived with her parents, and from the very first moment, it was clear how excited and touched she was. When she finally met the puppy, her joy was almost impossible to put into words. She was happy, excited, and a little overwhelmed in the best possible way. She showed great interest in her new four-legged companion, gently petting him and clearly enjoying the opportunity to get to know him. The puppy was given the name Hópehely (“Snowflake”).

It was also a pleasure to see how kind and supportive the breeder was throughout the wish fulfillment process, helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved.

Seeing Bella’s smile and witnessing the special moment when she met Hópehely for the first time was truly uplifting. We hope her new furry friend will bring her endless joy, love, comfort, and many happy memories in the years to come.

Lara is a very sweet little girl. She has a 5-year-old older sister. They live in a family house with a garden, with a large yard and outdoor space. The two little girls love nature very much: trees, flowers, birds, cats. When the weather is nice, the two sisters would love to spend almost the whole day outside in the yard, playing and listening to the birds chirping.

Lara really wished to have a playground in their yard with a climbing wall, a slide, and two swings, so she could swing together with her sister, and so that from the little tower they could cuddle up together and listen to the songs of the blackbirds and titmice.

Finally, the long-awaited day arrived when Lara was allowed to come home from the hospital. Shortly after she arrived home, the gift from Csodalámpa also arrived, and Lara was very, very happy! The little girls watched with great interest as the playground was being built, and they could hardly wait to start using the play equipment.

Dear Lara, we wish that you always use the playground with the same joy, happiness, and bright smile as you do now, and we hope you get well very soon!

Als ich am Sonntag ankam, genoss Hugó gerade zusammen mit seinen Geschwistern und seiner Mutter das schöne Wetter im Garten. Neugierig beobachtete er, wie ich durch das Tor hereinkam, und fragte sich, was ich dort suche und warum ich gekommen bin. Freundlich und höflich stellte er sich vor und war sehr überrascht, dass ich tatsächlich ihn suchte. Als ich ihn daran erinnerte, dass er vor nicht allzu langer Zeit im Krankenhaus einer unserer Hilferinnen der Csodalámpa erzählt hatte, was für einen Wunsch er hat, wurden seine Augen ganz groß.

Ich überreichte ihm die Schachtel, und er staunte noch mehr. Ungläubig betrachtete er das Paket – war das wirklich wahr, hatte er tatsächlich bekommen, was er sich gewünscht hatte? Er war beinahe zu Tränen gerührt. Seine Mutter erzählte, dass sie eigentlich nicht wirklich daran geglaubt hatten, dass Hugós Traum wahr werden würde.

Der kleine Junge erzählte begeistert von seinen Plänen, wie er das Spielzeug benutzen würde. Gleichzeitig versprach er aber auch, nicht den ganzen Tag im Zimmer zu verbringen, sondern weiterhin viel Zeit draußen mit seinen Geschwistern zu verbringen.

Es war wirklich schön zu sehen, wie viel Freude und Glück –auch noch ein wenig ungläubig – in seinen Augen lag. Die Familie bedankte sich herzlich bei der Stiftung für diese Möglichkeit.

Adorján loves cars very much. Once, when they had to travel to Budapest for an examination at one of the children’s hospitals, he saw a little toy car in the playroom there and immediately fell in love with it. Several small children were waiting in line for a turn to sit in the lovely little car. Adorján also got to try it for a short while.

Since then, he had often told his mother how much he wished for a little car of his own.

Adorján’s wish came true. The Genie of Csodalámpa magically brought a red little car into the family’s garden. The little boy was very happy to receive what he had wished for. He said he would take very good care of it so that he could keep driving it for a long time and so that it would stay just as beautiful as it was when he received it.

We wish him lots of joy and many happy moments with his red little car!

We would like to thank our private donors, including the students and teachers of the American International School of Budapest, whose support and help made it possible to grant Adorján’s wish.

Olivér approached us with a very interesting request, fulfilling which posed quite a challenge for us.

He wanted to meet the world champion downhill racer Bernard Kerr and train and ride together with him.

Bernard is a wonderfully kind person; he immediately agreed to grant the wish. His only request was that we bring Olivér to the DYFI trail in Wales, where he could work with him.

There are hardly words to describe how happily he and his teammates welcomed Olivér. The five of them spent almost two full days training from morning till evening on increasingly difficult tracks. Of course, we also received an extra day at the beginning, when Olivér could practice alone and get to know the course. Bernard even provided Olivér with a professional Pivot bicycle from his own brand.
All five team members took great care of Olivér; one of the most touching moments for us was when we learned that at the jumps Bernard always looked back to make sure everything was okay with him. Olivér himself is also an outstanding athlete.
He is incredibly talented, and the top riders continuously praised him, which he accepted with a modest smile.

It is difficult to describe or convey the care and friendly affection we all received. We felt as if we had known them for many, many years. Bernard welcomed Olivér as a true friend and showed him everything in his “cave”—a hall that serves as a warehouse, workshop, garage, and sometimes even a party venue. For example, one evening they even played ping-pong—and who else would win but Olivér.

It was heartwarming to see the smiles and joy in everyone’s eyes during all three days. At the park’s starting point, we also met the owners of the park, the Atherton siblings, who are downhill champions themselves; they too signed Olivér’s jersey.
Which one? Well, of course the one he received from Bernard—his own branded one.

These few days flew by in no time; it’s a pity they came to an end—we would have happily spent even more days in this wonderful place. Silence, forest, the scent of pine, lots of laughter and joy—and countless mountain bikes and bikers.

This is what one of the "finishes" looked like, with Olivér in front, Bernard behind him in white pants, followed by the rest of the team.

We believe that the friendship that formed between Bernard and Olivér will last, just as we believe that all these experiences provided by this fantastic champion and his team will greatly support his recovery.

Martin, a loyal fan of FC Porto, had long dreamed of seeing his favourite team play live one day. He has been following the goalkeeper’s career especially closely over the past four years.

Even the flight itself held some surprises for him: thanks to Wizz Air, after landing he was able to enter the cockpit and have an informal conversation with the pilots.

He was very excited for match day, as until then he had only been able to experience the magic of football through the television screen. The special atmosphere of the stadium immediately captivated him, and it was truly impressive for him to see the team’s stars playing from such a close distance.

The next day, he was able to immerse himself in the club’s history at the stadium museum, admire the trophy collection, and, as part of the stadium tour, visit the dressing room, where he could sit on the players’ benches. Later, he also sat on the bench by the pitch, where the players had been waiting the previous day to step onto the field. The highlight of the tour was discovering the VIP box. Although unfortunately he was not able to meet the team members, a truly special surprise had been prepared for Martin: a personalized jersey with his own name on it, which he received with great emotion.

As the closing moment of our trip, before heading home, we visited the ocean shore, where Martin and his father happily walked in the waves despite the cold water.

Martin, we wish that the experiences of the past few days will give you strength on your journey toward recovery!

Nikolasz and Hajni were excitedly looking forward to their trip to Paris. They had never travelled by plane before, so the flight itself was already an exciting experience for them.

During our walks, we visited many landmarks, famous buildings, and popular city districts. Because of the limited time, however, we were only able to spend longer at the Eiffel Tower, and we also had the chance to explore the inside of Notre-Dame Cathedral in more detail.

From the very top of the Eiffel Tower, a breathtaking view welcomed us. The cold, not quite spring-like wind cleared the air above the city, and we could have spent hours gazing at the grey rooftops, the famous buildings rising above them, the vast green parks, the Seine cutting through the city with boats moving along it, and the cars speeding along the avenues, which looked more like toy cars from that height. It felt as though we were looking at a huge model city in all its tiny details.

We were also able to admire Notre-Dame Cathedral from the inside after its many years of closure due to restoration works. Awe-inspiring heights, arches, rose windows, frescoes, and statues made the sight almost impossible to take in fully. We hope the flowing crowd disturbed the religious ceremony taking place at the time only minimally. Perhaps the locals have already made peace with the endless stream of tourists.

During our city walks, we tried to pass by the main landmarks and attractions, including the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, Montmartre, Pigalle, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Latin Quarter, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Élysées, Trocadéro, Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries Garden, and the imposing Louvre building with its pyramids.

Next to the Bastille monument, we were also able to get a taste of the lively atmosphere of a weekend market, with a selection of goods very different from what we are used to, a unique ambiance and scenery, and colorful, loud, yet direct and friendly vendors everywhere we turned.

Despite the tiring walks, Nikolasz and Hajni gathered wonderful experiences, were able to experience the vibrant character of Paris, and will keep unforgettable memories in their hearts.

Jázmin wanted to meet Caleb McLaughlin, one of the actors from the Netflix series Stranger Things, during the event weekend held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in the northern suburbs of Paris.

Jázmin was eagerly looking forward to the day of departure, mainly because she had been dreaming of this personal meeting for a long time. At the same time, she had never flown on an airplane before, which made the preparations even more exciting.
The event offered a wide range of programs for fans of the series, giving them the chance to revisit fond memories and stories connected to the show and, most importantly, to meet its famous cast members.

Jázmin spent the entire Sunday at the event venue. She attended a panel discussion with the actor, where her favorite star answered questions from some of the audience’s most devoted fans.

Later, during another workshop, Jázmin had the opportunity to take a photo with Caleb and present him with two beautiful paintings that she had made for him herself. We hope that Caleb McLaughlin has cherished these two wonderfully made artworks ever since!

At the end of the day, the actor also took time to sign the various memorabilia purchased by fans, including Jázmin’s carefully treasured keepsake.

The whole day was an extraordinary experience for Jázmin, and she was overjoyed to be part of this event.
During the weekend stay in Paris, there was also time for a bit of sightseeing and visiting several well known landmarks, adding even more lasting memories to the trip. Still, nothing could surpass her personal meeting with her favorite actor, Caleb McLaughlin. On the day of departure, Jázmin also managed to get a series themed baseball cap, further expanding her cherished collection of memorabilia.

Olivér is a devoted supporter of AC Milan, so it was no surprise that he wanted to watch their match at the iconic San Siro Stadium in Milan.

Even the flight itself was a great experience thanks to the special boarding, as this was Olivér’s first time flying. To make it even more memorable, at the end of the journey he was also allowed to visit the cockpit.

After arriving, our first stop—after enjoying a real Italian pizza—was the stadium. There we took photos in front of the media wall, visited the locker rooms, and of course entered the arena, where preparations for the next day’s match were already underway. It was exciting to see that as well!

Our accommodation was right next to the stadium, so on match day we could watch how the huge square gradually filled with life. We eagerly joined the bustling crowd ourselves. After the players arrived, we soon entered the stadium as well to enjoy the warm-up from close up—and this was literally the case, as Olivér’s ticket was right next to the pitch-side barrier. It was an incredible experience to cheer for his favorite team from so close! No wonder he ended up hoarse, because Milan won the match.

On Sunday, the day of our return, we still had time to visit the Casa Milan Museum—so that not a day would pass without football—but we also saw the beautiful Milan Cathedral and its surroundings. In the evening, with heavy hearts but full of wonderful memories, we headed to the airport.

Levente had a long‑standing dream to watch an Arsenal match live — and it finally came true. And not just any match: the league‑leading Arsenal hosted a worthy opponent, Chelsea, in a competitive fixture on home turf. Together with more than 65,000 fans, Levente cheered passionately, and his support was rewarded: in a thrilling, closely fought game, Arsenal defeated their rivals.

The stadium tour before the match was also an unforgettable experience. Levente learned about the history of his favourite team, discovered its legendary players, and visited areas of the stadium normally reserved for VIPs, including the press room. He even had the chance to get up close to the perfectly manicured pitch — the very field his heroes would run onto shortly afterwards.

During their stay in London, there was also time to explore the city’s major landmarks: Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Kensington Garden, and to stroll through London’s famous streets amidst the lively weekend bustle. And since they were in England, the traditional fish and chips was, of course, a must.

Benedek is a modest, kind 16 year old boy whose dream was a PS5.

When his wish was fulfilled, he was deeply moved, and he accepted the gift with great joy. At first he could hardly find words and simply smiled, but when he finally unwrapped the PS5, his eyes lit up.

It was clear he had wanted it for a long time, and he was already planning which game he would try first. He received the surprise with quiet, yet unmistakable happiness, and he was excited to start using the console.
