To see the sea, to bathe in the azure, sometimes emerald-green waves of the island of Corfu.

This was Bulcsú’s dream, which came true thanks to the Magic Lamp Foundation.

During the 5-day holiday, it turned out that this trip held many more gifts than expected:

The first flight for Bulcsú and his mother,
Eating a seafood platter for dinner,
Hiking up to the Monastery of Paleokastritsa and enjoying the unique panorama from there: Bulcsú liked the monastery so much that he walked up every day and chatted with one of the monks.
Admiring sunsets from the shore and mountaintops,
Watching fish from a glass-bottom boat, immersing in the view of the sea,
Exploring the island by speedboat,

/ 6

Diving in headfirst, snorkeling,
Swimming with his mother into the Blue Cave,
Hiking to the highest point of Paleokastritsa through olive groves,
Discovering marine animals at the aquarium,
Enjoying his favorite hobby—fishing every day with his magic bait...

Unforgettable days, joyful moments, friendships that we carry in our hearts and brought home with us.

On behalf of Bulcsú, we gratefully thank our private supporters for their help—without them, this dream could not have come true.

Thanks to the Magic Lamp Foundation, another child’s special dream has come true. This time it was Maja’s wish that was fulfilled: she had long dreamed of traveling to Barcelona and experiencing all the beauty of the Spanish lifestyle.
Maja’s dream was to visit the famous Mercat de la Boqueria market, where fresh fruits, vegetables, and Spanish hams awaited her – all her favorites. The bustling atmosphere, the colorful stalls, and the Mediterranean flavors left her truly amazed.

During the three-day trip, together with her mother, she discovered Barcelona’s most beautiful sights: with the hop-on hop-off bus they visited almost all the famous sights, and in the evenings they enjoyed the city’s atmosphere with delicious dinners. The seaside couldn’t be missed either – Maja happily swam in the waves and gave herself over to the feeling of freedom and joy.

Maja is keen on Spanish food, music, the sea, and the cheerful spirit that characterizes Barcelona. I felt that every moment of the trip brought a smile to her face, and she was able to return home with lifelong memories.

We would like to thank the Ibis Styles Barcelona Centro hotel, Jet Travel Ltd., Hibridlevél Ltd., as well as our private supporters – Szilvia and Balázs – whose help made it possible to fulfill Maja’s dream.

Zora Jázmin’s special wish was to see her favorite band, the South Korean K-pop group ENHYPEN, live in concert. This became possible during their first concert in England, held at the O2 Arena in London, where Zora was accompanied by her sister Lilien and our fellow volunteer, Laura.

During our flight there, Zora was warmly welcomed by the WizzAir crew, and even the captain had a gift prepared for her. Zora was also invited to sit in the co-pilot’s seat — a truly extraordinary experience. After landing in London, she had the chance to take a group photo with the entire crew.

The mangement of our hotel, the ibis London Earls Court also greeted Zora with a lovely surprise: they gifted her items related to her favorite band, including a CD and a personalized greeting card. Due to her illness, Zora requires a special diet, and we are especially grateful that every effort was made to accommodate her needs in this regard.

Zora was thrilled as she got ready for the concert, and her excitement didn’t fade once it began. She sang along enthusiastically to the hits and captured the concert through photos and videos.

Of course, since we were already in London, we also visited Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Park, where we saw water birds in and around the lake, and squirrels darting through the fallen leaves — adding a short sightseeing tour to Zora’s itinerary.

On behalf of Zora, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Wizz Air Hungary Ltd., to Budapest Stock Exchange Ltd., Jet Travel Kft., Hesse Trade Kft., and the management and staff of the ibis London Earls Court hotel, as well as our private supporters, among them Dr. Edina Hódosi-Gaál. Thanks to their kind help, Zora’s dream came true.

Already on the Wizz Air flight, the crew prepared a little surprise for us: each child received a signed airplane model as a gift, and at the end of the journey they were even allowed to step into the cockpit and try out what it feels like to be a real pilot.

Over the course of three days, we explored Paris Disneyland, rode the scariest roller coasters, and enjoyed the breathtaking evening light and fireworks show in exclusive settings. Not a single day went by without Letti hopping on for a ride at the incredibly lifelike Ratatouille attraction. We are certain that with this magical journey we created lifelong experiences and memories!

The dreams of three more children came true, as we traveled to Disneyland with Flóra, Letti, and Bogi!

Already on the Wizz Air flight, the crew surprised us with a little gift: each child received a signed airplane model, and at the end of the journey they were even allowed to visit the cockpit and try out what it feels like to be a real pilot.

Over the course of three days, we explored Paris Disneyland, braved the scariest roller coasters, and enjoyed the breathtaking evening light and fireworks show in exclusive settings. A special joy was that all three girls got to meet their favorites: Flóra took a photo with Stitch, Bogi high-fived Minnie, and not a single day went by without Letti taking a ride on the wonderfully lifelike Ratatouille attraction. We are certain that with this magical journey we created lifelong experiences and memories for the children!

The dream of three children, Lujza, Bertalan and Zsombor came true, as they were able to spend a fantastic weekend at Disneyland in Paris.

Even the flight itself was a great experience, and even more so when, after landing, the captain called each of them into the cockpit to look around, and a joint photo was taken too.

From the airport, we went straight to the Disneyland hotel, booked our rooms, had lunch, and then set off to explore the fabulous park with renewed energy.
The attractions, shops, and buildings enchanted everyone, perhaps Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean won the prize, but Star Wars and the Wild West roller coaster were also among the favorites. At the top of the Marvel Studio, we saw such fights with the participation of Black Panther and Spider-Man that just... Everyone loved it.

The fireworks-lights-laser show in the evening was wonderful, as was also the accompanying musical experience.

We walked an incredible amount of time, but somehow the feeling of difficulty and fatigue went away after seeing the charm of the park and the joy of the children.
The children enjoyed every minute of the trip and we are sure that they will remember the magical world of Disneyland for a long time.

We would like to thank Wizz Air Hungary Ltd, Disneyland Paris, IBIS Styles Budapest Airport,Prime Rate Zrt. and our private sponsors for making Lujza's dream come true!

Laura, Kamilla, Janka, Ildi, and Nóri arrived at the airport full of excitement, ready to embark on a journey into the magical world of Harry Potter in London. The magic began right at the airport, when the Wizz Air captain and crew came to greet us personally. On board, everyone received a surprise package, and at the end of the flight, we even got to visit the cockpit.

In the afternoon, we set off to follow in Harry’s footsteps and visited Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station, hoping we, too, might pass through the wall. While we didn’t quite make it to wizarding school, we did make it to a Harry Potter shop, where we looked around in awe and wonder.

Naturally, the highlight of our time in London—the “Big Day”—was our visit to the Harry Potter Studios, where we spent several hours exploring real film sets, costumes, props, and even got a behind-the-scenes look at special effects and animation techniques used in the movies. We had the chance to board the Hogwarts Express and even fly on the Nimbus 2000!

Luckily, we also had time to witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace and admire several of its rooms and gardens from the inside. We strolled past Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the Tower of London, and enjoyed breathtaking views of the city from the 34th floor of the Sky Garden. Of course, we couldn’t miss the massive M&M’s store or Hamleys—the world’s oldest toy store, spread across seven floors.

Tired but filled with unforgettable memories, our little team returned home to Budapest.

Barnabás came to us with a special request: he wished to visit one of the world’s largest tank museums, located in Bovington, England.

He had been waiting for the trip a very long time and was nervous whether we’d make it during the originally planned dates, since some of his tests and treatments were delayed. We spoke with his mother several times, always assuring her that the trip would happen—because we felt it simply must. Barni deserved it.

The tank museum exceeded all expectations. There are 300 different tanks to see and even touch… each more massive than the last. It may sound odd to say that some of these steel giants were beautiful—though they were built for a sorrowful purpose—but many of them are undeniably engineering marvels. We didn’t know where to look first, but luckily the museum was incredibly well designed. It breaks down tank history by era, making it easy for anyone to learn. We explored everything from the earliest test tanks to today’s Challenger 2, from World War I trenches to soldier diets.

/ 6

Barnabás could name all but 3 of the tanks and knew many details about them—his knowledge is remarkable. His interest in tanks is no coincidence—he wants to become a mechanical engineer.

After several hours of “tanking” we took a long drive to London, where Barnabás saw more in a single day than most people do in a week—thanks in part to our kind supporter Edina, a professional tour guide.
Upon hearing Barnabás’s story, Edina enthusiastically offered her help and gave us an amazing guided tour of central London, including the government quarter, royal palaces, and nearby parks. We all learned a lot from her.

Within our one day in the capital, we explored the whole city center—and even visited Buckingham Palace. At Barnabás’s request, we ended the long day at Tower Bridge.

We hope he was enriched with many beautiful and fascinating experiences that will give him strength on his road to full recovery.

On behalf of Barnabás, we thank our supporters: Wizz Air Hungary Ltd, Danubius Hotel Regents Park's management and staff, the Kontron Hungary Kft., the Enco Energy Kft., and our private sponsors—including Edina—for making Barnabás’s special dream come true.

Please read Aleksander's own report how his very special wish became fulfilled:

Since I was a small kid and first started playing the cello, I have always had two wishes:
  • to have my own, unique master cello that would give me wings, and
  • to meet Yo-Yo Ma, who to me is quite possibly the most creative classical performing artist of our time.

Yo-Yo Ma is not only a musician, but also an incredibly versatile, renaissance person whose spirit has always propelled me forward. Until last year, I believed nothing could stop me from chasing my dreams to one day become one of the best cellists on the planet. From the age of six, I won various international competitions, received media attention through Virtuosos and the Goldene Note, and, for the past six years, I had the privilege of studying under István Várdai in Vienna.

But in January 2024, when I was diagnosed with a fast-growing brain tumor, my entire world turned upside down. I was blessed with incredible support from my family, friends, school, and many organizations who stood by me during this journey. Yet, above all, it has been Csodalámpa that allowed me to keep living my dreams.

Thanks to Csodalámpa, last week I had the privilege of meeting and making music with my great inspiration, Yo-Yo Ma in North-Germany, Osnabrück, after his opening performance at the Morgenland Festival.

From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional.

Yo-Yo Ma welcomed each of us with big hugs, as though we would have been old friends. Then he immediately placed his Stradivari in my hands. We played Vivaldi’s double concerto together. It was incredible to become a team with him, experiencing firsthand his spontaneity, energy, and deep humanity.
After we finished, Yo-Yo Ma encouraged me to go on and to play more. So I played Bach and Wieniawski for him.

I understood that we would have a short meeting, but it turned into a full hour of music, fun, joy and inspiration. I still don’t quite have the words to express what this meant to me.

What Yo-Yo Ma gave me (and all of us) was beyond words.
The moments of making music together with him have become the most powerful, healing memory of my life—one that I will treasure forever. I would like to thank the tireless support of the Csodalámpa team, without whom the meeting could not have taken place.

Playing together - a dream come true

In the name of Aleksander we would like to thank Yo-Yo Ma for his kind help for fulfilling Aleks' wish, Ms. Anke Schauer, project manager and Mr. M.
